It’s also a sport that can be a lot of fun as you are not only rewarded with the unique landscape and stunning views across the mountains but can also spend a happy hour our two in the numerous alpine huts and chalets
Neustift is the starting point of one of the most beautiful walks in the Stubai Valley, the Stubaier Höhenweg. This high trail connects nine alpine huts in the Stubai Valley along one hiking trail. Walk along numerous streams and springs, passing thundering waterfalls amidst a high mountain landscape that exudes breathtaking beauty. This demanding route really is worth it!
A further highlight is the Schlick 2000 panorama trail, leading from Kreuzjoch to the “StubaiBlick” observation deck. The unusual benches lining the panoramic trail were created by local artists and offer breathtaking views of the mountains.
Located at 3,200 metres above sea level in the middle of the Stubai Alps, the “Top of Tyrol” observation deck brings the sky a step closer. From here you can even see the Dolomites and the Ortler massif.
Apart from these hikes, there are of course numerous other signposted trails and tours offering various levels of difficulty enable the whole family to explore the Stubai Valley on foot. Once a week, all throughout the summer, the Rastbichlhof offers a guided hike.
